Thanksgiving

Hey everyone!


I hope you all had a wonderful thanksgiving. Mine was pretty awesome. We had a dinner with our district and the zone leaders and it was pretty hilarious. We had golden corral cator and it wasn't the best food but we still ate most of it, there was turkey and potatoes and all that stuff. Me and elder baker bought martenellies for the district but it turns out everyone else had the same idea so we had a bunch of sparkling cider at the dinner. This older couple at the mission office gave us dad jokes to tell at the dinner and some were inappropriate and I think the joke was a little too subtle for them to understand. Or I'm just really inappropriate and made it inappropriate in my head. I'm not really sure which is true. 


We did exchanges this week and my awesome companion put me and another elder together in a Spanish area (foster) who only has 2 months in the mission and spanish and I only have 1 month. It was really difficult. We have two lessons in Spanish and one in English. The Spanish ones weren't as bad as we thought they would be. The members on one lesson were really nice and understanding about our Spanish. We survived but it was a rough night. We ran into elder hunt again. I'll probrobly see him again tomorrow at winco too. I do t have facebook so I couldn't do the challenge that president nelson gave but I'll gust write what I'm thankful for here.


First off I'm grateful for my family. My parents are always looking out for my every need and are both great examples for me in my life. My brother is a heck of a dude and also one of my best friends. The three other girls in my family are ok I guess.
Hehe, jk  they are always sending me their love while I'm on my mission and I love it.
I am also thankfull for all of the great friends that I've made. Its kind of weird how covid has allowed me to find and make the greatest friendships in my life.
I am so thankful for the chance to be here on my mission. Especially here in salt lake. I've met so many great people here with crazy strong testimonies and they are all making me want to be a better person.


Well this phone keeps freezing while I try to type so I'm done. Have an amazing week.

HOME MTC

hola mi amigos spanish is going surprisingly well. My teachers are speaking faster and faster and it's a little hard for me to keep up but I'm definitely doing a lot better than I was at the beginning of this week. I can't have a normal conversation with someone but i can give a pretty decent lesson (i think) and answer half of the questions they ask. This week me and my comp Elder Burke were in the middle of a companionship study on zoom when some random guy shows up on the call. we weren't told that we were gonna teach a lesson so we didn't really know who this guy was. it was really sketchy because all the lights were out and his face was all shadowy so we thought he was just gonna drop his pants and moon us. hehe. so we just started to teach him. He was very receptive to the gospel. that was sarcasm btw. he was on his phone the whole time. we asked if he believed in god or christ and he said yes but when we asked him to explain to us what he knew h...
