Wyoming

Image
So I got transferred to Wyoming and It is pretty dang cold here. It's a really tiny town called green river and it's basically a bunch of rednecks so it feels a lot like battleground. I'm in an English area because there's a million missionaries who are supposed to be in Spanish so there like filtering them through. But the people are so nice here. Theres not many people who we are teaching but the members are a huge help.   Saying goodbye to all the guys back in Salt Lake was a bit sad but their all awesome missionaries and there gonna do great work. The only person that we've had a lesson with is a recent convert who hates Santa and the Easter bunny. It sounds weird but when she explains it I actually find myself agreeing with her. The whole reason she hates them is that it takes away from the actual meanings of both of the holidays but she's a little more colorful when she explains it and likes to talk about how pagan it is and it kind of scares me when she t...

Transfer Week

Image
So tomorrow we have transfers and I'm leaving Forestdale and Burton. It's pretty sad because the wards were sooo full of absolutely hilarious Latinos. We helped some people move on Saturday and they move so fast to get things done. It's there only day off from work so they were like throwing stuff out of the house and off the balcony while me and elder baker were catching it and throwing it in the truck. They fit an entire couch into an elevator so they didn't have to take it up to the stairs ,  hehe. I'm gonna mis this place. The bishop and ward leaders are so involved and love to work with us to help move the work forward. Adrian and David are moving so fast and have a strong testimony about the word of wisdom and read the book of Mormon together. There really smart people and David likes to analyze parts in the book of Mormon. One thing that I've learned and seen is that the power of the book of Mormon and the spirit behind it is what changes lives. If we hav...

Lots Of Opportunities

Hey everyone! This one is gonna be pretty short but basically the new year has brought lots more opportunities here. We are able to attend both of our sacrament meetings allot more because there at different times so we can participate in both of our wards allot more and get the members more involved with the work. My comps are awesome but the trio seems like it's coming to an end this next transfer. It was an amazing time but it had to end soon. Elder Baker got his Visa in so hopefully he's gonna get back to Mexico pretty soon. He's happy whereever he is tho.  We had mlc this week and were able to talk to allot more missionaries in our zone. Our lessons with David and Adrian are getting better because we have a member who's really excited to come to the lessons with us. He's a convert and has a huge desire to share how this gospel has blessed his life. I would like to share my testimony on families today. When we build out family relationships on christ than we wil...

We Taught Lots Of Lessons

Image
Happy new years!!     Hello everyone     This week was pretty good. We had lessons and we taught the gospel. I should probably go in more detail tho.     We have two brothers who are investigating the church and lessons with them are some of my favorite moments on my mission so far. There just so full of the spirit and we can feel the love that God has for these two Young men. It's pretty cool, god love to ves each one of us so much and it amazes me how he gives us each time to listen and talk to him each day.     We spent new years eve with a couple of Colombian single moms with weird boyfriends. There very flirty as you can probably see by the picture. They gave us Christmas sweaters last week and Paola, the girl on the right is going to get baptized in a bit. Her sister is the recent convert and she gave us cupcakes. They are very nice ladies.     We also talked to a really funny old lady named sandy. She had grandchildren on their mis...
